Personal Statement
I am a self-starting, hardworking and highly motivated business professional who is able to work effectively alone or as part of a team. I have over thirty years experience in administration, finance, project & event management, procurement and facilities management.
My key skills include producing work to a consistently high quality standard, attention to detail, a logical and planned approach to project work this is underpinned by the ability to make rational judgements and balanced decisions. I am able to identify and disseminate good practice, whilst developing my own skills and those of others. I am, at all times, honest, reliable and loyal with a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines demonstrating a ‘can- do’ attitude throughout every project I undertake.
After working for the City of York Council for more than nineteen years I am now enjoying the challenges of being self employed using the skills I have developed over my varied and highly successful professional career to develop my own business and give a quality service to other businesses that require bookkeeping support. I am fully insured and registered as self-employed.

2009 to present self employed with an online card making & craft supplies business.
2015 to present self employed as a bookkeeper working with sole traders & small businesses.
1995 to 2015 City Of York Council various roles within the School Improvement team and I was in my last role as Centre & Finance Manager for more than 10 years.
1985-1994 British Rail/BREL/ABB various roles within the procurement function when I left I had been a buyer for 3 years.
1983-1985 Golden Rail Ticketing Clerk arranging travel routes/times and booking and issuing rail, sea and air tickets.
